"Lady Knights are having a moment in fiction! Some of the best books I've read recently have featured women who took up the call for Queen and Country-- Rachel Gillig's The Knight And The Moth (sequel due out later this year, I believe!) and Alix E. Harrow's The Everlasting are among them. And of course there's Cassandra Pentaghast, Dragon Age's lady knight who lives forever in my heart. (Why don't I have a candle for her yet? I should!) And LOTR's Éowyn, the template upon which generations of shieldmaidens have been imprinted.
This year's Spring box, OATHSWORN, is a celebration of the archetype, featuring a perfume from Deconstructing Eden, a sugar scrub from Paintbox Soapworks, a tea from Dryad Tea, stickers and a bookmark from RayleeArts, a note pad from Stasia Burrington Illustration, and a candle and lip product from yours truly!
In addition, I am offering four limited edition scented oils for hair and skin. I blended them up for a Flower Mart show I am doing next month (April 11th, Backwater Books in Old Ellicott City if you're local!), but decided to offer them online as well.COTTAGE is a soft blend of sheer vanilla orchid and wisteria blossoms. NECTAR is a sweet, buzzy blend of juicy, ripe peach and elderflower cordial. NOCTURNE is a moonlit veil of dewy moonflower and soft green moss. And SOLEIL (my personal favorite!) is an energetic elixir of orange blossom grounded by soft ambered vanilla."
I am the biggest fan of Christina's candles and lip products so I am also super excited about her scented oils.
I will be pulling the Valentine's Collection at the beginning of April and Spring will go up shortly after. The collection theme, names, and notes will be coming in about a week.
